Our students got very creative in our Annual Christmas Mannequin Contest. This year we had 2 categories, elegant and Christmas character. Our students got into the holiday spirit. Which one is your favorite?
On December 9, 2009 We had a “Tacky Christmas Sweater Day”. We allowed students and staff to wear a tacky Christmas sweater and jeans for a small donation of $1. All the proceeds from this event were donated to Sister Bonnie’s charity of “Haircuts from the Heart”. There were lots of cute sweaters and definitely some tacky ones too.
Island Day for Haiti
IA students and staff held an “Island Day for Haiti”, in which they donated $5 and dressed in island attire for the day. The students are also going to have a bake sale for Haiti the whole week prior to Valentines’s Day. All donations are being sent to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund, and IA has so far raised hundreds of dollars for the cause. All decked out in “island wear: are Jessica F, Amanda B, Rachel B, Abby D, Kristin F, Instructor Sara Roos, Mindy A, Heather S, and Instructor Connie LaRue
