Our students at IA were very fortunate to be able to be a part of the area’s largest simultaneous pony tail cut (350 people) at Seton on Friday, May 20. All 7 inches is donated to the “Lock of Love” to form wigs for cancer patients who have lost their hair during treatments. Many of the pony tails cut were from frien…ds and relatives who have had or are currently battling cancer. Our students also cut and styled the remaining hair and donated that hair to help with the clean up of the oil spill in the Gulf. We had a great time and were quite inspired by the whole experience
Managers field trip
The most recent managers class attended their field trip to end their course to area salons on Wednesday, May 12th. We attended Salon Bastille, Tuscany Salon, Collins & Co. and Mitchell’s Salon. Our students experienced not only the look and location of the salons, but their culture, education programs, assisting programs and benefits. Each salon experience is unique and the students gain knowledge to help them when searching for employment after their graduation
